Private Tuition

If you prefer to be supported on an individual basis, be it as a beginner, to develop your practice or to work with an injury, these sessions are for you. Private tuition can also be arranged couples or small groups. Price upon request.

Private Yoga Therapy for Mental Health

Yoga and Mindfulness thread beautifully into a healing program for mental well-being. Under the caring guidance of Anneliese, mind, body and breath techniques will empower you to manage your own mental well-being for years to come. This journey is most suitable when taken alongside talking therapy or afterwards.

It can also be taken as a preventative measure if you suffer from chronic stress, mild anxiety or mild depression.

'Kundalini Yoga focuses on an increased awareness of the relationship between the mind, body and soul. Through traditional yogic postures, breath, chanting and meditation, you’ll unblock energy, awaken your inner self, empowering you to flow with confidence and rise to the challenges of life. We harness the mental, physical and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul.

Sian is a Kundalini Yoga Teacher in Training with the Karam Kriya School. She began her yoga journey in January 2017 which lead her on a life-changing journey of awakening and a deeper sense of self and purpose. Sian hosts health and wellbeing events in London and East Sussex. Open to all levels, beginners welcome!'

Yoga & Mindfulness Classes
Enjoy a mindful yoga practice where you are encouraged to pay attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally. Classes usually end with a mindfulness meditation which can assist in the development of positive health behaviors, psychological and emotional resilience, and a sense of well-being that can be effectively cultivated and relied upon throughout your life.

Stress Relief Yoga

These yoga classes are an opportunity for you to de-stress in the tranquility of Birchwood Yoga's beautiful rural studio. Classes are specifically designed to rid the body of stress hormones, but also to address the exhaustion that stress can generate by enabling the body to rest. We therefore practice strong asana in conjunction with long hold stretches to induce the relaxation response, restorative poses and breathing techniques; teaching the nervous system that it can return to a feeling of calm after stress. Meditation often makes an appearance as a wonderful support to calm a busy mind. And of course relaxation to leave you feeling grounded, calm and re-booted for the week ahead.

The Stress Relief sessions at Birchwood Yoga are an amazing way to get some space and balance. I find the breathing practices especially useful - something I can use in any situation to help find calm. You come away with a deep feeling of relaxation throughout your mind and body.
