You are encouraged to pay attention to your breath, body and mind, on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally. Classes are slower paced and usually include pranayama or a mindfulness meditation which can assist in the development of positive health behaviors, psychological and emotional resilience and a sense of well-being that can be effectively cultivated and relied upon throughout your life.

Beginners Yoga
Due to the small class sizes at Birchwood Yoga, it is recommended that beginners take private classes until they feel confident to join a weekly class.

Private Tuition

If you prefer to be supported on an individual or joint basis, be it as a beginner, to develop your practice or to work with an injury, stress, anxiety or mild depression these sessions are for you.

I highly recommend weekly private lessons with Anneliese. Each lesson is totally individualised and Anneliese effortlessly adapts the lesson according to my needs that day.
